November has arrived! Halloween is in the rearview mirror, and we are now on the path to Thanksgiving. Turkey! Desserts! Football! And of course, comics! We are extra thankful this year to all of you out there who have subscribed to this newsletter or have purchased one of our comics. We appreciate it more than you will ever know. So, thank you and welcome once again to the New Star Dispatch, your source for all the New Star Comics news and intel. This is our 3rd edition and our second to last one of the year. As I write this the temperature outside has dropped to 38°F, no better time than to grab a stack of comics and get to reading. If you’ve been keeping up with the adventures of the Mighty Boomers or Garbage Man, please comment below with some pictures. We love to see pictures of our comics in the wild. And if you’re all caught up with the current issues, we have a brand new one dropping this next week! Let’s check it out.

WHAT’S NEW/ANNOUNCEMENTS
As announced in last month’s newsletter, we have a brand-new series launching, NEW STAR TEAM UP! This will depict team ups between all the various New Star characters in a series of one-shot adventures. The first one, New Star Team Up #1 features the first meeting of our flagship characters, Garbage Man and the Mighty Boomers! When a strange mechanized being robs a local jewelry store, the Mighty Boomers spring into action! But the battle soon draws the attention of a certain Trash Bagged Defender. It’ll take the power and skill of all 6 heroes to save the day! But will that be enough? Find out in issue 1 of New Star Team Up, dropping this next Saturday, November 12th. And to celebrate, we’re throwing a little party…a launch party that is! Come meet us from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Speeding Bullet Comics in Norman (Speeding Bullet Comics) and pick up a copy. We’ll even sign it for you. They’re located at 614 N Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071. We hope to see you there!
In other news, we are about to start offering digital copies of all our comics just in time for the Christmas season! We are working on this option and hope to have them available by Black Friday. Stay tuned!
TEASERS
We have a couple teasers for you guys this month. First up, here’s a page from issue 1 our upcoming series FLY GUY.
When a genetic accident leaves Landon Chu with the powers of a common housefly, and some of the problems, he must figure out how to balance his newfound abilities while keeping his dream job. Check out his origin and all his adventures in FLY GUY #1, coming soon!
Have you ever walked in your sleep? Are your hand-to-hand combat skills out of this world when you do so? Then you have a lot in common with THE SOMNAMBULIST! He’ll be fighting crime while asleep in TALES FROM THE SHADOWS, another New Star series coming soon!
QUESTIONS OF THE MONTH
1) Tanner, which character is your favorite to draw? And why? ~Dave
My answer would probably be Brickton. The fact he’s non-human allows for more freedom when it comes to his posing and expressions.
2) Tyler, which character is your favorite to write? And why? ~Dave
My absolute favorite is Nick/Garbage Man. I like his backstory and how he’s trying to help others even when he himself really needs help. I can never imagine being homeless but having to live on the streets while fighting crime and chasing down a huge conspiracy? That takes a lot of guts, toughness, and a relentless pursuit of what’s right. That’s Nick for you.
